Day 8: Monday Up to 1x0.8. I think that's where I started- so far this hasn't been a success for weight loss. So this whole experiment has been an eye-opener as far as what I'm eating. I'm glad to be doing it for that alone. It's becoming apparent that I need to eat a lot more fruits and vegetables. I also eat a lot of food that I don't really love and I don't like that. I think eating should be a pleasure. I have bad habits of eating standing up or while doing other things, and eating too quickly as well. I had a look at our schedule over the weekend. I am so torn about eating dinner so early because it's so outside of social norms. But with the schedule we have- activities daily from 445-615pm, and the kids going to bed by 8 and me by 9, it's really not that crazy. The kids eat breakfast at 7, lunch at 11, and at 3 they are starved. Rather than let them eat cookies and granola bars and chips until dinnertime, why not serve us all dinner and s...

Days 6 & 7: The Weekend The idea is to loosen up on the weekend, which I did. We went to a party and I allowed myself to eat whatever I wanted at the times that I wanted it. It was a variety of food, some healthy, some not, with a couple of meals out. I haven't gotten back to exercising much due to a little cold, but I did manage a 30 minute strength workout Saturday and lots of cleaning, and on Sunday a 15 minute cold-water swim, which I did for my mood, it's amazing. I have been feeling a bit weird on the bigger dose of wellbutrin, with no appetite effects so far, so we'll see how that goes.

Day 5. So far this hasn't given me the results I was expecting like last time. Maybe it only works if I'm not eating over my hunger signals. Weight today was same as yesterday. So in 5 days I've lost .4 pounds and I would have thought I'd have already just naturally lost water weight since my period is over now. Also not enjoying eating on a weird schedule that doesn't align with social norms and eating when I'm not hungry to prevent myself being too hungry later. I guess the point of it is to just skip that meal, if I'm not hungry. That would probably work a lot better...

Day 4. Up .6 pounds, no surprise there. Still feeling the need to add in more vegetables and real foods to my daily diet. I guess this experiment may be worth it for that alone! Usual coffee with half and half and then around 9 had some blackberry noosa yogurt with about a cup of real blackberries in it, and some apple cinnamon oatmeal. Lunch was as soon as I was the slightest bit hungry at 12, chicken, couscous with kale, tomato and white beans, and salad with olive oil dressing and a little avocado, an iced coffee with chocolate syrup. I wasn't hungry at 4 for dinner but ate a little bit of flatbread anyway. I feel like I'm eating in advance of my hunger which I don't like, and apparently that also spikes your blood sugar. I was trying to get away from rigid rules and simplify things, but I feel like eating when not hungry just to make a time is defeating the purpose. At around 7/8, I had 3 small halloween chocolate candies.
